Matt,
Sorry for having taken so long to get back with you and than you for the cards,
but it has been a real busy time here in southern Baghdad and I am just now
catching up with my correspondences. First of all, thanks for what you
are doing by supporting us over here. I cannot begin to tell you how
important it is to us to have people like you and the group you work with supporting
us. It makes coming home a lot easier and it makes what we do more understandable
as we represent you and the future of this country.
That leads me to my second thanks, which is thanks for what you guys are doing
in your ROTC program. The military is the best organization to build the
skills that make you a better person. And for joining during these times
in our Nations history, it is a difficult decision that not a lot of people understand. We
are the heart and soul of our Nation and what you do today will have a great
impact on tomorrow.
.......
Again, thanks for all that you are doing to support us over here, it says
volumes about your character and your commitment to this country. Keep
up the good work in your program, stay in, despite the deployments, the military
has been the second greatest decision of my life.
All the best to all of you, take care, be safe, and thanks for taking care of
me and my soldiers.
